First appearing in the 1837 work 'The Clockmaker', Haliburton's work details the continued adventures of American parliamentarian and judge Sam Slick, with these works of humorous social commentary following him to England.
Both first series volume retain their original half titles.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth bindings. Bumping to spine heads and tails, with fading to back strips. Small loss of cloth to series I volume I back strip head. Second series hinges strained, but generally firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean, with only the odd spot.
