    Description

    Leather Binding

    With engraved title page. With a biography of Cowper by Henry Stebbing (1687–1763), an English churchman and controversialist, who became archdeacon of Wiltshire. With a prize presentation bookplate to front pastedown, dated June 1847.

    Condition

    In a calf binding with decorative gilt spine. Externally, sound with slight shelfwear and very slight damage to leather of rear board. Internally, generally bright and clean but with foxing to engraved title page.
