Illustrated with two hand coloured plates, and further vignette illustrations. Collated, complete.
Explained by the author as produced with the intention of affording a 'useful guide to the geology of Arran', this slight work is divided into six chapters discussing different regions of the island.
With two pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth covered boards. Small losses to cloth at back strip head and tail. Head and tail of front joint starting, with board holding firm. Internally, binding somewhat strained towards start of text block. Pages clean and bright, with light marks to title page and frontispiece.
