Written by George Agar Hansard, or 'Gwent Bowman', noted nineteenth-century archery expert. 

The second edition of this work, the first having been published just a year prior by Longman, Orme, Brown, Green, and Longmans.

Containing an engraved frontispiece, vignette title page, and a further thirty-seven engraved plates. Collated and complete. 

Handsomely bound in half morocco with gilt detailing to the spine and cloth boards by W. Roach Co. in New York.

Handsomely bound in half morocco with gilt detailing to the spine and cloth boards by W. Roach Co. in New York, with their binder's stamp to the verso of the front free-endpaper. Externally, lovely. Internally, firmly bound. A few light spots to the first and last few pages, otherwise pages are bright and clean.
