The Stanley family, or Audley-Stanley, are an influential noble family of a long history in England - the earliest documented members of the family are two brothers who were listed as land overs in the 1086 Domesday survey.
Illustrated with a frontispiece, and eleven plates, printed on blue paper.

Though the title states that this edition includes a description of the Isle of Man, that is not present in this work, as called for on Jisc.

Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with loss of cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Spine is a little faded. Minor bumping to the extremities. Light marks to the boards. Small loss of cloth to the fore edge to the head of the rear board. Hinges are starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper, and to the recto of the rear endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with a few scattered spots and handling marks.
