A report on the committee that was dedicated to the improvement of London, during a century which saw a great amount of growth and development within the capital city.

It was during this century that it became an important global city, becoming the largest city in the world from about 1825.

Condition

Rebound in a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, boards detached but present. Minor rubbing and discolouration to the boards and spine. Loss to the head of the spine, with a much smaller amount of loss to the tail of the spine. Light bumping to the extremities. Some loss of leather. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spots. Plates with a small amount of edge wear.
