What Our Customers Say...
Description
Leather Binding
First published in 1831, this is a smart copy of George Dunbar's two part Greek and English dictionary.
Two volumes in one, with the first part being Greek to English, and the second part in English to Greek, with a title page to each part and individual pagination.
George Dunbar was a Scottish classical scholar and lexicographer. A man of great energy and industry, Dunbar was noted for his Greek-English and English-Greek lexicon, on the compilation of which he spent eight years. It was the best work of its kind that had appeared in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
Dunbar has added tables of Grecian measures, weight conversions, coin values and other currencies.
