'The Paris Sketch-Book' (1840). A charming book of Paris stories, descriptive of the city and France shorty after the time of Napoleon. Illustrated by the author with five plates and a frontispiece to each volume.
'Comic Tales and Sketches' (1841). A collection of humorous tales, each illustrated with plates by the author. Illustrated by the author with five plates and a frontispiece to each volume.
'The Irish Sketch-Book' (1843). A collection of stories written following the author's visit to Ireland in 1842. The publication of this work was not overly well-received by the Irish population, due to the comical nature in which they were portrayed.
