These volumes were published by the Camden Society, a text publication society founded in London in 1838. The Camden Society's mission was to publish early historical and literary materials.
Condition
In uniform cloth bindings. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the head and tail of spines. Small loss to the tail of spine to the 'History of The Chantries' volume II. Loss to the head and tail of spine to 'Political Songs'. Prior owner's inscription to the front pastedown of 'Custumals'. Shelf label to the front board of 'Liber de Antiouis' and to the spine. Bookplate to the front pastedown of 'The Autobiography of Sir John Bramston'. Bookplate to the front pastedown of 'The Egerton Papers' Gerald A Aylmer. Bookplate to the front pastedown 'The Hope Trust' to 'A Catalogue of the Collection of Tracts for and Against Popery Parts I and II'. Bookplate to the front pastedown of 'A History of the Chantries' volume II, William Hardy. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright with the occasional light spots to pages.
