The work was printed for the Manchester Anti-Corn-Law Association, a successful political movement that aimed to abolish the unpopular Corn Laws.
Written by British Parliamentarian, Thomas Perronet Thompson, a leading activist in the League.

In the publisher's wraps. Externally, with age toning and edge wear to the wrap. A mark to the front and inscriptions to the front and rear. The odd spot. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with the odd spot.
