A memoir on the life and reign of King Henry V of England, also known as Henry of Monmouth.
Henry was King from 1413 until his death in 1422. Despite the fact that his reign was short, Henry saw great military successes in the Hundred Years' War. His reign saw England become one of the strongest military powers in Europe.
Shakespeare immortalised Henry in his 'Henriad' plays.
Illustrated with a frontispiece to each volume.

Condition
Rebound in a full cloth binding. Externally, smart. A small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards and spines. Front hinge of Volume I is starting but firm. Institutional label to the front pastedowns. Institutional pocket to the rear pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd handling mark.
