The first edition of this work.

A beautiful study of the various scenic lakes found in England, such as Windermere, Ullswater, and Derwentwater.

Illustrated with an engraved title page, a folding colour map, and forty plates. Collated, complete.

The work of George Tattersall. Tattersall was an artist and architect, who also published sporting works under the pseudonym 'Wildrake'.

With 'Tablets of an Itinerant' to the half title.

Lacking the publisher's adverts to the rear.

A charming guide to the English landscape.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Discolouration to back strip, lacking cloth to the back strip head. Rear hinge strained, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages and plates age toned due to paper type. Light spotting throughout.
