John Dick (1764-1833) was a theologian and minister best known for his sermons which included 'The Conduct and Doom of False Teachers', written in response to William M'Gill of Ayr's essay on the death of Christ, 'Confessions of Faith shown to be necessary', and 'Essay on the Inspiration of the Scriptures'.

Published under the superintendence of his son.

Bound in contemporary leather.

With a preface and memoir added.

The first U.S. edition.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to the spine and boards. Extremities are a little bumped. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
