Champollion was a French philologist, best known as a decipherer of Egyptian hieroglyphs and was a founding figure in Egyptology.

In half crushed morocco binding and marbled boards. Externally, sound. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The pages are bright and clean with some occasional light spotting.
