Nine volumes from the popular periodical, 'The Magazine of Domestic Economy', comprising of seven volumes from the first series, and two volumes from the second series, covering the period of 1836 to 1844.

This periodical covered a variety of topics regarding nineteenth century domestic life, including household management, cookery, recipes, gardening and more. Additionally, there were a number of interesting articles included concerning a miscellanea of topics, such as the history of photography and the discoveries of Daguerre and Talbot. 

Including the following volumes:

Volume I of the First Series, published in 1836. 
Volume II of the First Series, published in 1837. 
Volume III of the First Series, published in 1838.
Volume IV of the First Series, published in 1839. 
Volume V of the First Series, published in 1840. 
Volume VI of the First Series, published in 1841. 
Volume VII of the First Series, published in 1842. 
Volume I of the New Series, published in 1843.
Volume II of the New Series, published in 1844. 

All uniformly and smartly bound in half calf by S. Mepham, with their binder's sticker to the front pastedowns.

Condition

All uniformly and smartly bound in half calf by S. Mepham, with their binder's sticker to the front pastedowns. Externally, smart, with some light shelf wear and some light scuff marks to the boards. Light rubbing to the heads and tails of the spines and extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound. A few light handling marks and spots to the pages, which are otherwise bright and clean.
