Charles Frederick Partington was a British science lecturer and writer. He issued many works including 'An Historical and Descriptive accoutn of the Steam Engine', 'A Brief Account of the Royal Gardens' and 'A Manual of Natural and Experimental Philosophy'.
Condition
In uniform half calf binding with paper covered boards. Rubbing to the boards and extremities. Small loss to the spine labels. Hinges are strained but firm. Rear hinge to volume I is tender. Front endpapers to volume II are detached but present. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. 'Sheep' plate to page 672 of volume III has a chip to the fore-edge affecting the plate. Plate at page 521 of volume II has offset. Plate at page 81 of volume I is bound in upside down. Pages are bright. Occasional scattered spots to pages.
