Illustrated, Leather Binding

Complete in two volumes. A collection of the table talks of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, being a collection of the comments made by the comments, generally at the dinner table. Illustrated with a frontispiece to each volume. Coleridge was a noted English poet who was one of the founders of the English Romantic Movement. He is best known for his works 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner', 'Kubla Khan', and 'Biographia Literaria'. Bookplate to the front pastedowns, 'Adamson, Rye'. Prior owner's ink inscription to the rear pastedowns, 'Adamson'.

Condition

In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the boards and spines. A small amount of loss to the spine label of Volume I. Bookplate to the front pastedowns. Prior owner's ink inscription to the rear pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd spot.
