A first edition copy of Cobbett's Legacy to Labourers or, What is the right which the Lords, Baronets, and squire have to the Lands of England, in six letters addressed to the working people of England, with a dedication to Sir Robert Peel.

William Cobbett was an English pamphleteer, journalist, politician and farmer. He was a parliamentary reformer and this work highlights his goal of easing poverty amongst farm labourers and small land holders.

Condition

In full calf binding. Externally, very smart with some rubbing to the spine. Previous owner inscription to the front pastedown. Newspaper clippings stuck to the rear pastedown and free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages.
