Antoine Augustin Calmet's extensive dictionary of the Bible, this being a English revision of the immense and important religious study.

Illustrated with four folding plates, and one plate.

Calmet was a French Benedictine monk.

Edited by the engraver Charles Taylor.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Externally, generally smart, with some marks and discolouration to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the spine and extremities. Small crack to the head of the joints, head of the spine lifting a little. Light surface cracks to the spine. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with some spots. Leaves 3Q1 and 3Q2 are lifting a little.
