A presentation copy, inscribed 'from the author' to the front free endpaper. 

A scarce work with only sixteen copies held in libraries.

An insightful work into early nineteenth century British economics and politics, with topics inlcuding 'the financial system' and 'the post office'.

With two pages of author's advertisement to the rear.

Condition

Rebound in cloth with the original boards and spine pasted on. Externally, smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The spine label is worn with some small tears and age toning. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and generally clean with some light spotting throughout.
