What Our Customers Say...

Description

Scarce

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Hatcher's historical and descriptive account of Old Sarum and Salisbury. Henry Hatcher (1777-1846) was an English antiquarian. From 1836 to 1843, he spent his spare time preparing his history of Old and New Sarum, and his history of Salisbury, for Sir Richard Colt Hoare's The History of Modern Wiltshire. The Hatcher Review of the Alderbury & Whaddon Local History Research Group is named in his memory. This is an ex-library copy with a shelving number to the spine, a library sticker to the paste down, and a library stamp following the title page. There is also a stamp for the Mechanics' Institution, Swindon, to the title page.
