Written by English astrologer, Richard James Morrison, who was commonly known under his pseudonym 'Zadkiel the Seer'. Morrison wrote a number of works on the subject of astronomy and was best known for his series 'Zadkiel's Almanac'.
In this particular work, Morrison provides details explanations surrounding different areas of astrology, including the zodiac signs, the planets, the twelve houses of heaven, and much more. The author also demonstrates the way in which to calculate the nativity, or birth chart, of an individual, depicting the planet alignment at the moment they were born.

Bound in the publisher's original cloth. Externally, worn, with bumping to the extremities and the spine. Lacking the rear board. Cloth is torn to the front joint and lifting to the backstrip. Label to the front board is soiled. Tape reinforcing front hinge, adhered to the paste down and title page. Lacking endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with a little age toning to the extremities and the odd spot.
