This work was first issued in 1827, and was based on lectures delivered whilst he was a lecturer on anatomy in the Medical School. This work went through four editions since the first publication.

With chapters on muscular actions, blood, digestion, pulmonary circulation, the skin, urinary organs, the nervous system, and many other aspects of physiology.
Condition
In a half calf binding, with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart. Rubbing to the joints and extremities. Spine label is chipped. Shelf label to the spine. Patches of rubbing to the boards. Front hinge is strained after the endpapers, but remain firm. Pages are bright. Scattered spots to the first and last few pages. Otherwise, just the odd spots to pages.
