Prior owner's inscription to the half title, Charlotte Pirr 1845 Albion Place. A second prior owner's inscription to the advertisement 'Edward Pirr Belford'.

The painted fore-edge to this work of Hampton Court. A charming illustration, which shows three people outside of the Palace. Neatly written caption 'Hampton Court Palace'. 

In a beautiful full calf binding. 

A charming copy of this important narrative poem which is set in the Scottish Borders in the mid 16th century. 

Condition

In a full calf binding, with gilt stamped boards and spine. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear to the joints and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with just the odd spots.
