A mixed edition set, consisting of: volume I in the 1837 third edition; volume II in the 1832 third edition; volume III in the 1833 second edition; volume IV in the 1834 first edition; volume V in the 1836 first edition, and volume VI in the 1840 first edition.

Illustrated with fifty-five engraved maps and plans across all six volumes. Collated, complete.

With half titles to volume I and II, and publisher's advertisements to the rear of volumes I, III, IV and V.

With the armorial bookplate of Timothy Eden to each front pastedown.

A wonderful work of military history.

Condition

Rebacked, in full calf bindings with endpapers renewed. Rubbing to board perimeters. Armorial bookplate to front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally clean and bright, with the odd instance of foxing to plates.
