A series of letters, originally published in The Sporting Magazine, by noted sporting author 'Nimrod', the pseudonym for Charles James Apperley, a Welsh sportsman and sporting writer from an English family.
This work looks at the condition of hunters, covering such subjects as the effects of stable management conditions and how to treat various ailments.
Condition
A first edition of this work. In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, very worn with rubbing to the boards, bumping to the extremities and significant wear to the head of the spine. Pen inscription to front paste down, title and two rear leaves. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned with tide marks throughout and scattered spotting, but no loss of text.
