With commentary on the typical habits and habitats of the birds. Also includes a description of a bird discovered by Montagu in 1800 called the 'Cirl bunting'. Written by George Montagu, an English army officer and naturalist. With a plan of study and many new articles and original observations by James Rennie.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Splits in the cloth to the head of the spine, particularly to the front joint. Minor loss to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spotting. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
