Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
A three volume set of this work focused on ornithology, complete with various illustrations throughout. Published anonymously but agreed that the volumes were written by Scottish naturalist James Rennie.
These volumes are part of 'The Library of Entertaining Knowledge' series founded by the Society of Useful Knowledge and publishing between 1829 and 1838. most writers published anonymously for this series.
Complete with over one-hundred-and-fifty illustrations.
Condition
In the publisher's original brown cloth binding, with titles stamped in gilt to spine. Externally smart, with slight shelfwear and bumping to head and tail of spine. Minor loss to head of spine to the three volumes. Sawbridgeworth library sticker to front boards and library stamp to title page. Internally, binding is slightly strained but firm nonetheless. Faint scattered spotting throughout. Complete with over one-hundred-and-fifty illustrations.
