What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding

Comprising two volumes. The first volume contains 'Botany, Mineralogy, Geology, Meteorology' all of which have separate title pages labelled parts XIII, XIV, XV, and XVI.  Volume II is a volume from the zoological series and has sections 'Quadrupeds, Birds, Amphibia, Fishes, Worms, Insects'.

Smartly bound, in two volumes.

John Timbs was an English antiquary who wrote many reference works including 'Curiosities of London' and 'Curiosities of Science'.

An uncommon survival, these two volumes from what was once a far larger series.

Condition

In full calf bindings, with gilt stamping to the spines. Externally, very smart with patches of light rubbing to the joints and boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Minor offsetting to pages. The occasional light spots.
