    In the original French.

    Alphabetically arranged, this work provides words and accompanying definitions, following the spelling conventions enforced by the French Academy. This work includes approximately eight thousand terms connected to sciences and the arts, and further examples of chemical nomenclature.

    With a contemporary inscription to the front free endpaper.

    Condition

    In a full calf binding. Significant rubbing to back strip, joints, and board perimeters. Two small worm holes to tail of front joint, and one small hole to the head of the rear joint. Hinges strained but firmly held. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Loss to head of front free endpaper and half title. Pages significantly age toned, with significant spotting throughout, most concentrated at page perimeters.
