Written by Thomas Hood, an English poet, who is best known for his poems 'The Bridge of Sighs' and 'The Song of the Shirt'.

Illustrated by the noted caricaturist George Cruikshank.

Collated, bound without one plate.

Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front free endpaper.

Condition

In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. A little fading to the spine. Minor rubbing to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spots. Repair to the last leaf, with no loss of text. Repair to the reverse of the title page.
