This is a new edition, issued for Constable's Miscellany. Being volume XXXVI of Constable's Miscellany. It is the fourth edition overall. Illustrated, with a portrait frontispiece of Capt John Dundas Cochrane and an illustration to the title page. Being volume I only. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. 'A Pedestrian Journey' recounts Cochrane's four year journey which was intending to explore un-mapped regions of the arctic coast of Siberia. He travelled by foot for the majority of the journey, which earned him the nickname 'The Pedestrian'. Collated, complete with the half-title.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with light bumping to the head and tail of spine. Rubbing to the spine label. Spine is slightly faded. Front hinge is strained after page xii. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Just the odd spot to pages.
