Eanes Mackenzie was a noted English topographer. He was fundamental in founding the Mechanics' Institution in Newcastle, and also produced a similar topographical and historical study on Durham.
A detailed account of the city's religious, civic, educational and cultural buildings. Featuring both contemporary and historical accounts of the aspects discussed.
Condition
Rebound in quarter calf, with marbled paper covered boards and endpapers renewed. A touch of fading to back strip, otherwise externally fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned throughout, with spotting throughout, most concentrated to plate perimeters.
