First Edition, Leather Binding

A first edition of Auguste-Félix-Charles de Beaupoil's narrative of the seventeenth century French civil wars. Published in French. Across these three leather bound volumes, Beaupoil details the machinations of the series of civil battles between 1648 and 1653 in France.

Condition

In a full brown calf binding. Externally, very smart. The third volume is a little rubbed to the front board, and all three volumes are lightly rubbed to the front joint. The calf is just beginning to crack at the front joint near the head of volume three. With a repaired chip in the calf to the spine of volume three. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with light foxing throughout.
