Volume I comprises of : Prefazione, Vita dell'Autore, Testamenti, and the start of ''Istorie fiorentine''. Volume IX comprises of: Spedizioni, legazioni, commissioni. In uniform half vellum bindings. In Italian. With a frontispiece to volume I. Niccolo Machiavelli is best known for his work 'The Prince'. He is regarded as the father of modern political philosophy or political science.

Condition

In half vellum bindings with paper covered boards. Externally, very smart. Light rubbing to the extremities, mostly to the head and tail of spine. Handling marks to the spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright. Offsetting to the title page of volume I from the frontispiece. The odd spot to pages.
