Description

Jeremy Taylor (1613-1667) was a cleric, often described as being one of the greatest prose writers in the English language. He wrote numerous collections of sermons, with this being a collection of Sunday sermons.

Taylor's other works include 'Twenty-Seven Sermons', 'The Rules and Exercises of Holy Living' and 'Discourse of the Nature, Offices and Measures of Friendship'.

Complete in two volumes.

Condition

In a full diced calf binding. Externally a trifle rubbed to the spines in particular, as well as the extremities, resulting in slight loss to the leather. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with a touch of water staining to the edges of volume I.
