By Alexander Chalmers. Seven Volumes of Eight only. Volumes I - IV, VI - VIII. Volume V is missing. The plays missing from this set are Henry IV Part II, Henry V, and if they were included, Henry VI and The Two Noble Kinsmen.
Condition
In full diced calf bindings. Externally, edgewear with loss to the top and tail of the spines. With the backstrip of volume eight partially missing, and the remainder coming away. Internally, firmly bound, with light browning and marginal spots. With a few marginal tidemarks to the first few pages of volume. In an ink inscription to the front free-endpapers, and the front pastedown of volume one.
