What Our Customers Say...

Description

Illustrated, Leather Binding, Scarce

Comprised of all thirty seven of Shakespeare's plays, this scarce volume organises the plays by the country and epoch in which the action is set rather than the typical Tragedy, Comedy, and Historical categorisation. Alongside a biographical portrait of Shakespeare, Charles Henry Wheeler provides a brief literary and historical preface to each play and a succinct summary of its merits and defects.

Condition

In a quarter calf binding over hard boards. Externally, generally smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards and the joints, a little more so to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are foxed to the front and rear of the book, but are otherwise clean.
