Three volumes of original six. Lacking volumes I-III. With 12 plates, 3 folding plates and one map. George Henry Borrow was an English author who wrote novels and travelogues based on his experiences travelling around Europe. This was his first work completed while Borrow was working under Sir Richard Phillips.

Condition

In half morocco bindings by Roger de Coverly and Sons. Externally, smart though lightly rubbed in places. Spines faded slightly. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with some cockling and spotting to first and last few pages.
