A collection of the poetical gems of James Beattie, William Collins, Thomas Gray, and Lord Byron.

Illustrated with a frontispiece and an engraved title. 

In particular this volume includes Byron's 'English Bards and Scotch Reviewers' and 'Hours of Idleness', as well as Collins' 'Oriental Eclogues', Gray's 'Elegy Written in a Country Church Yard', and Beattie's 'The Minstrel'.

Condition

In the original paper covered boards, amateurly rebacked in cloth. Externally, boards are age-toned with marks. Torn label to the front board. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Light rubbing to the boards and spine. Small dampstain to the front board. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with the occasional spot. Frontispiece and engraved title with a tide mark.
