From the library of Allen and Beryl Freer. The Freers were avid art collectors, and acquired quite the selection over the twentieth century, of works mostly bought from the artists. Allen organised many exhibitions of artists he admired and published several works on art. With Allen Freer's bookplate to the front pastedown.

In a beautiful tooled calf binding.
Condition
In a full calf binding. Externally, very smart. Light rubbing to the joints and extremities. Small loss to the head of spine. Prior owner's inscription to the verso of front endpaper. Bookplate to the verso of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. With scattered spots to the first and last few pages.
