Condition

In an amateur rebacked calf binding. Externally, generally smart, a little rubbed. A few light marks to the boards . A couple of small chips to the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. HInges are starting but firm.Pencil to the rear endpaper and paste down. Chips to the rear endpaper. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean, with scattered spots and handling marks. Title page is working loose to the head. Closed tear to Plate 11. Small chip to Plate 61. Lacking plates 40 and 41.
