Two volumes bound in one; complete.

With a folding illustrated frontispiece.

Anecdotes include the murder of the princes in the tower, the Great Fire of London, Joan of Arc and Alexander the Great.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Externally, sound with slight shelfwear. Internally, binding slightly strained in places, but holding firm. Text block close-clipped, affecting title page slightly. Tide marks to many pages and plates, and the odd spot and handling mark throughout.
