A complete five volume set of The Works of William Paley, to which is prefixed a life of the author.
William Paley was an English clergyman, Christian apologist, philosopher and utilitarian.
The first volume contains Evidences of Christianity, volume two contains Moral and Political Philosophy, volume three contains Natural Theology Tracts, volume four contains Horae Paulinae and Clergyman's companion in Visiting the Sick and volume five contains Sermons on Several Subject and Six Sermons on Public Occasions.
Each volume has a vignette title page and frontispiece.
Collated, complete.
Condition
All are in the original hardback bindings. Externally, generally smart with some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and marks to the boards and spines. Internally, all are firmly bound with lightly age toned pages with scattered spots throughout.
