Description

Leather Binding

From the writer of Reflections on the Works of God. Originally written in German, and translated by W. Johnstone. The primary devote reflection is entitled Acknowledgement to God for the Mercy of Prolonged Existence, and Recommendation of the Commenced Year to his Divine Aid. The concluding contemplation is entitled Thanks for the Mercies Experienced During the Course of the Elapsed Year. Complete in two volumes.

Condition

In original mottled engraved calf bindings, gilt lettering to the spines and marbled boarders. Externally, sound with rubbing to the extremities and to the spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and intermittently clean with occasional instances of spotting. Early copperplate ink signature to front endpapers of both volumes, dated 1824.
