A collection of the poetry Scott included in his own novels. Scott began his career as a poet before writing novels, but continued to produce poetry, interspersing his prose with original verse. These mostly took the form of mottos which precede chapters.

Six pages of adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Spine is a little faded. Minor marks to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Very small crack to the head of the rear joint. Lacking the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spotting. Head of the half-title has been excised.
