Volume II with a frontispiece, and one plate. Collated, complete. Written by Barry O'Meara. O'Meara was a surgeon, who accompanied Napoleon to Saint Helena and acted as his physician. This work documents O'Meara's time as Napoleon's physician. Napoleon was exiled to Saint Helena in 1815, during which time he wrote a book about Julius Caesar. O'Meara believed that Napoleon's declining health during this time was due to his harsh treatment, and he ended up dying in Saint Helena in 1821.
