A first edition of this work descriptive of life and customs of eighteenth and nineteenth century Spain by Joseph Blanco White published under pseudonym Don Leucadio Doblado. White was a Anglo-Spanish political thinker, theologian, and poet. 

This is one of his major works. Bound without half title.

Condition

Rebacked in full calf binding with gilt tooling to spine. Externally smart with some shelf wear, rubbed to joints and extremities of boards. Sir Robert Johnson Eden Bart's bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean.
