A poetical play by Sir Walter Scott, dramatising Scottish history in Scott's typical style.
Scott penned this play over the course of two rainy mornings, originally for a volume of poetical miscellany which was being compiled by Joanna Baillie. However Scott wrote so fervently that the play outgrew the original volume and had to be published separately.
Condition
In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, worn, lacking most of the backstrip. Wraps are detaching to the head. Light edge wear to the wraps. Wraps are discoloured with some light marks. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are age-toned with the occasional spot.
