A scarce new edition. Rebound in a handsome quarter morocco binding with gilt lettering. With the original paper cover adhered into the book. A collection of humorous and burlesque poetry from various writers at the University of Oxford. Originally published in 1764. Titles include: 'On Ben Tyrrell's Pies', 'Epigram on an Epigram', and 'Verses of The Oxford Newsmen, From the Year 1754 to the Year 1772'. Complete with two pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear of the book. With a bookplate for 'County of Hereford and Worcester' to the front paste-down.
Condition
In quarter morocco binding. Externally, excellent with minor shelf wear. Bookplate to the front paste-down. Internally, firmly bound. A few scattered spots throughout, but otherwise bright and clean. Light age-toning to the pages.
